Khatta-Meetha Dal

Ingredients:

Bengal gram dal - 1 cup
Beet root pieces - 1 cup
ground nuts - 50 grms
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Dry dates - 2
Jaggery - 
50 grms
Green chilli paste - 1/2 tsp
tamarind juice - 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
coriander powder - 2 tsps
Curry leaves - 7
cinnamon - small piece
cloves - 2
ghee - 2 tsps
cilantro - 2 tsps
salt - 1 tsp
hing - a little

Directions

In a pressure cooker ,put bengal gram dal,beet root pieces,turmeric powder,salt,coriander powder,jaggery,dry dates,tamarind juice,curry leaves,ground nuts,green chilli paste and boil.
In a pan heat ghee,add hing,cumin seeds,cloves,mustard seeds,cinnamon.Once they splutter add them into pressure pan and boil for 5 min.
Then garish with cilantro and can be served.
