Dal Nawabi

Ingredients:

Kidney beans(rajma) – 1/2th cup
Black gram – 1 cup
Bengal gram dal – 1/2 cup
Onion – 4
Tomato – 6
Green chilli – 2
Ginger– small piece
Garlic cloves - 8
Tamarind juice - little
Salt – to taste
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Cilantro – 1 tsp
Paneer - 50 grms
Curd – 1/2 cup
Cream – cup
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
sugar - 2 tsps
Ghee - 4 tsps

Directions:

Clean all the grams mentioned above and soak for 7 hours before cooking.
Grind onion,ginger and garlic together.
Finely chop green chilli and tomato.
In pressure cooker ,boil all the soaked gram along with salt and turmeric powder.
In a pan heat ghee,add paneer pieces and fry.Also add cumin seeds and onion paste made above and fry.
Later add chopped tomato and green chilli and fry for few min.
Add curd and stir the mixture well.
Boil the mixture for few min by adding salt,chilli powder,pepper powder,sugar,tamarind juice.To this add 1/2 cup of cream and cook for few more min.
In this only add pressure cooked gram,fried paneer pieces and fry for 5 mins On light flame.
Garnish with cilantro and serve.
